Null November – Are you feeling it?

Friends, I am looking around and seeing very, very tired people. November is the month of tiredness because:

  • We have given it our best throughout the year and can see the holiday season in sight.
  • we have been traumatised by the events taking place in the world.
  • We are seeing our colleagues and friends suffer through illnesses and breakups.

And you can magnify these stresses by a factor of 10 if you have had workplace changes – restructures, downsizes, senior leadership shifts etc.

So what to do?

  • Know that all your colleagues and friends and leaders are just as exhausted as you.
  • Everyone is taking it one day at a time
  • People are waiting for the holidays to start – so they can relax.
  • Be compassionate and kind in your actions – towards yourself and others.

We will get through this. Breath. Take it one day at a time. Know that the pace and energy will change as we get into December – because then, the goal is in sight.
