1️⃣ If you are about to post an AI generated image, or you select a stock image to accompany your LinkedIn text, choose an image that shows:
✳ Diversity of people. Ask AI to make one of the figures from a minority group or select an image that shows a diversity of folks (age, ethnicity, gender etc)
2️⃣ Use appropriate language for 2024. Don’t say ‘we need more women in leadership’. Say instead that eg ‘leadership needs more diversity of thought or candidates from more diverse backgrounds.’
There are many ways to demonstrate your commitment to inclusion. But how you ACTUALLY THINK about inclusion comes through in the invisible ways that you may not even be aware about. And these things will date you.
