A family friend told me about an ongoing situation with her spouse, and then defended her actions with “Yes, I can be stubborn like that.”
My lips started curling upward with irritation, but I caught myself before she saw my expression. 🙄😞
Saying that you are stubborn and then seeing that as a badge of honour or something to be proud about is DUMB.
Being stubborn is NOT an admirable trait.
You may as well glorify being lazy or manipulative or untrustworthy.
Stop saying you are stubborn and change this quality if you are. It’s not cool being stubborn.
Ps – there is a difference between stubborn and resolute.
