What is your first thought when you see someone landing a new role?

My friend’s role was made redundant, and she has been out of work for 6 months.

When she spoke to me, she said this:

“And don’t get me started on all those people posting on LI about starting a new role – just go away already.”

If you see someone post about getting a new role/promotion etc on LinkedIn, here is a more CHARITABLE mindset to have:

⚜ Decide that you will NOT have uncharitable thoughts about others
❇ Know that today, it’s THEIR lucky day. Tomorrow, it will be YOURS.
✴ One more person landing a new role means there is another opportunity to fill their vacant seat
🔅 New promotions/roles means that the job market is active – and things are happening
💠 Perhaps this person needed that role desperately – maybe they were in a worse-off position than you are in now. (Think harder about this).

Friends – never, ever be resentful of others getting opportunities. Your time will come too. Be patient, and put out positive thoughts.

The least this will do is confirm that you are a good human being – because you think well of others.
